Radio Indigo adds excitement to the festive season

Radio Indigo, Bangalore’s international music destination added to the festive buzz in the city by choosing a young Bangalorean to go and attend the Indian Music Conference in Goa from the 17th to the 20st November 2010.

Radio Indigo’s trend of sending Bangaloreans to ‘all expenses paid’ National and International musical events continued with this contest. Radio Indigo shortlisted listeners who were the ninth callers in each daily show from the 25th October.
On the 5th November, 2010 Rhea Viegas emerged as a lucky winner through a lucky draw at the Radio Indigo studios.

Indian Music Conference is a four day music conference where more than 230 national and international artists will perform in Goa. Thermal and a Quarter, Raghu Dixit Project and rock band Kryptos are representing Bengaluru at the festival. Among the international acts are Hacrid, Cyanide Serenity and many more. Rhea will now travel to Goa and enjoy 5 star premium facilities and VIP passes to the event- all complimentary.

Excited Rhea could not believe that she won the contest and said, “I am happy that I won, specially a Radio Indigo contest. They have done so many travel giveaways and I always wanted to win, at least one of them-my dreams have come true.”
Commenting on the promotion Programming Director of Radio Indigo, Kenny Jones said, “Promotions are one of the key elements that set a radio station apart and I am proud that Radio Indigo have done so many-a date with Akon in Singapore, meet and greet with Lady Gaga in Malaysia, Hard Rock Calling to Hyde Park etc…and am sure there are plenty more to come.”

Besides this Radio Indigo has contests including ‘Free Lunch Friday’ and ‘Indigo Party Patrol with Romanov Red’. In its 20th successful week, Free lunch Friday has built tremendous interest among the corporate employees who stand to win free lunch every Friday for themselves and their teams courtesy Ammis Biryani.
