Reacting to the report on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi rejected the claim outright, saying there was “not an iota of truth” in it and describing the story as “totally false”.
Following the Prime Minister’s response, CNBC-TV18 issued a public correction and withdrew its report, stating that the information was inaccurate and expressing regret for the error.
