LG's Life's Good Happiness study ranks Chandigarh the happiest city
A panel discussion took place which was hosted by Mandira Bedi and was chaired by Niladri Dutta along with Priyadarshini Narendra, Vice President, PQR, IMRB International and Social anthropologist Dr. Amrit Srinivasan
LG in its Life's Good study declared Chandigarh as the happiest city in India and Delhi, the happiest metro. The study was unveiled today by Soon Kwon, Managing Director, LG India, Niladri Dutta, Head-Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics India and actress Mandira Bedi. The research was conducted by IMRB International.
Unveiling the study, Kwon said, "LG as a brand stands for our ethos of Life's Good and our brand philosophy is to develop and market products that make our consumers' lives happy. The LG Life's Good Happiness Study is a manifestation of this commitment and has been undertaken to understand the social construct of happiness and what makes people of India happy. My heartfelt congratulations to Chandigarh on winning the title of being India's happiest city and Delhi for being the happiest metro. The findings of the study will help bring us closer to our customers and enable us to play an important role in their pursuit of happiness".
After the study was unveiled, a panel discussion regarding the aims, objectives, research method and key highlights of the study took place which was hosted by Bedi and was chaired by Dutta along with Priyadarshini Narendra, Vice President, PQR,IMRB International and Social anthropologist Dr.Amrit Srinivasan.
The overall LG happiness Index has been benchmarked against five domains of happiness which include Pursuit, Purpose, Pleasure, Passion and Context. The study is based on a sample size of 2424 respondents across 16 cities of the country namely Chandigarh, Delhi, Lucknow, Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati, Jaipur, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai and Kochi.
