Renowned journalist and Editor-in-Chief of EastMojo, Karma Paljor, has been conferred with the Khangchendzonga Kalam Puraskar 2025, the highest honour bestowed by the Press Club of Sikkim (PCS). It took place during the organisation’s 23rd Foundation Day celebration held on 17 July in Gangtok.
The Khangchendzonga Kalam Puraskar is awarded annually to individuals who have made a significant and lasting impact in the field of journalism
Hailing from Rabong in South Sikkim, Paljor brings more than 20 years of experience to the newsroom. He began his journalistic journey in 1999 with The Times of India, later moving into television news with key roles at CNBC TV18 and CNN News18, where he was one of the founding editorial team members.
In 2018, Paljor co-founded Atvi Infotainment, the parent company of EastMojo — a pioneering digital news platform for Northeast India.
Paljor is also known for anchoring programmes such as Budget Yatra, Axe the Tax, Reporters Project and India Positive.
