The Institute of Advertising Singapore, in association with The Advertising Club Bombay, will launch APPIES 2010, the leading edge marketing and advertising Congress in Asia Pacific for marketers, advertisers, decision makers, practitioners and business owners. The APPIES 2010 will welcome 1,000 delegates from the Asia Pacific to Singapore on June 3-4, 2010.

APPIES seek to present a one-time only opportunity to learn about the past year’s most effective marketing communications programmes from across Asia-Pacific, presented by the people who created them. Every one of these programmes has been awarded for creativity and effectiveness in their own country, and the best of the best from all across the region will be judged in this unique Congress in Singapore. There will be an opportunity to meet and participate in discussions with the originators of every programme, to discover what it takes to create the most effective work.

Participants from 16 Asia Pacific countries will be presenting their best marketing campaigns, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Pakistan, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

The APPIES will gather the 100 best marketing campaigns from the Asia Pacific region to be presented live by presenters in a unique 4, 6, 10 format from the marketing company or advertising agency from the country of origin and presented in Singapore over two days at the Singapore Institute of Management Headquarters.

All Effie finalists qualify to present their marketing campaigns in the inaugural APPIES. Campaigns that have reached the final stage of the Effies automatically qualify as having reached the minimum standard required for the APPIES.

Finalists from other international awards for marketing campaigns approved by the Institute of Advertising Singapore (IAS) will also be participating. IAS will also invite international marketing companies and advertising agencies to present their best campaigns that have not yet been submitted for international awards.

The delegate fee is $550. A detailed brochure and the registration form have been put up on the Ad Club website www.adclubbombay.com.
