The Bharatiya Janata Party has named three-term MLA Ameet Satam as its new Mumbai unit president.
Satam replaces Ashish Shelar, who recently stepped down after joining the state cabinet.
Satam represents Andheri West.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis welcomed the appointment, praising Satam’s “organisational acumen and ground-level connect.”
Satam has said he will focus on infrastructure, housing, women’s safety, and transparency.
