Ajmal Group appoints Evarist Rego as Marketing Head
Evarist Rego is joining Ajmal Group of Companies as Marketing Head. He takes charge from September 1, 2010. Ajmal Group is one of the premium perfume manufacturers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, with presence in both oriental and French perfumes.

Ajmal Group is one of the premium perfume manufacturers in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, with presence in both oriental and French perfumes. The origins of the Group can be traced to Assam’s Hojai region.
Confirming his appointment to exchange4media, Rego said, “I will be based out of Dubai and will overlook marketing operations of Ajmal perfumes across the regions of its retail presence. Besides the GCC region, the brand is also spreading its presence in South East Asia and is already present in Malaysia. We will be soon launching in the European region.”
It may be recalled that Rego had put in his papers as COO at IBD India in July 2010. IBD India is the integrated brand development division of Percept-Hakuhodo, which offers creative solutions across the entire communication spectrum. He was earlier COO, Perspectrum Consultancy, Percept’s integrated marketing communication firm. He had been with the Percept Group for five years.
Rego had started his career in 1992 with an ad agency called Pressman Advertising. Since then, he has worked with agencies such as RK Swamy BBDO for six years, Publicis Ambience and PerceptH. Later, he joined Linterland, a division of Lintas, as Zonal Manager in Mumbai for a year, before joining Perspectrum Consultancy in 2005.
