Pizza Hut APAC MD to deliver keynote speech at Techमंच

Vipul Chawla, MD-APAC, Yum Brands, will speak on the importance of digital marketing

The Techमंच Digital Conference 2018, part of the Indian Digital Marketing Conference & Awards 2018 (IDMA), is a platform that brings together the advertising, marketing and media fraternity of the country to discuss all things digital. The event will see some of the top ranking global influencers give an unmatched perspective into the world of digital marketing. Experts from fields such as digital media, social media, and pure-play marketing are part of this day-long event that combines knowledge seminars, power-packed sessions and awards.

The conference will be followed by IDMA, an awards ceremony that celebrates and encourages talents from the digital marketing space specifically, internet, mobile, gaming, social media and the blogosphere.

One of the keynote speakers this year will be Vipul Chawla, Managing Director - Asia Pacific, (Pizza Hut) Yum Brands, the largest Pizza Hut system outside of the United States. Chawla is also a member of the International Leadership Team for Pizza Hut.

With more than 4800 restaurants, $4bn system sales, 16 countries, Pizza Hut Asia Pacific is a market leader and 29th on the list of most Trusted Asian brands across categories (through an independent survey conducted by AC Nielsen). Chawla is also on the Merchant Advisory Council for Visa Inc. Asia, and a board member of the Mobile Marketers Association – Asia.

In 2011, Chawla joined Yum! as Chief Marketing Officer for its Asia FBU with responsibility for KFC, a brand with a regional footprint of approximately 3,000 restaurants with an annual turnover of US$ 3 Billion.

Having worked with Unilever for 19 years in Asia and UK prior to joining Yum!, Chawla was Vice President for one of the personal care categories within Unilever Asia, responsible for the oral care business, and was the global leader for Close Up, and the health care platforms. He was also on the leadership teams for Unilever South Asia and Unilever China.

In 2013, Chawla was named as one of the 50 leading marketers in Asia by the Internationalist.
