Pocket FM is reportedly shutting down its microdrama platform Pocket TV.
According to media reports, the decision has been taken in light of the growing competition in the segment over the past year.
Media reports quoted a company spokesperson as saying that "Pocket TV was launched as a beta product to explore the emerging microdrama category and is not a material contributor to Pocket FM's business.
“As with any product experiment, we periodically evaluate performance and strategic fit, and any decisions related to Pocket TV are part of that normal process," the spokesperson reportedly said.
The company reportedly said that audio continues to account for their overwhelming majority of business, and we remain focused on scaling the category globally.
