Prashant Mehta, CEO, Komli Media will be leaving the agency; he is quitting due to personal reasons, he confirmed to exchange4media.
Amar Goel will resume the role of CEO following Mehta’s exit.
Mehta was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Komli Media in December 2008, and was responsible for sales, marketing, business development and operations. As COO, he led the agency’s acquisition of Indoor Media (United Kingdom), as well as PostClick (Australia).
“When I took over the role, we were a small team…about 20 to 25 people. Today we are over 300 people in 12 different markets. It’s been an incredible journey,” said Mehta.
Mehta was the Vice President and Head of Monetisation for Yahoo!’s Emerging Markets Group, which included South East Asia, Middle East and Africa Eastern Europe, India, and Latin America, prior to joining Komli Media. In this role, he was responsible for sales, business and publisher development, sales operations and advertising platforms across the region.
In 2011, Mehta was elevated from COO to CEO of Komli Media, and a member of the board of directors. As CEO, Mehta led all operational, financial and strategic functions of the business globally.
“A lot of interesting ideas and opportunities have come my way. I will engage in conversations with these companies post January,” added Mehta, talking about his plans.
