Intel India has announced the launch of their new digital campaign ‘Picture your Passion’ to promote its new generation of processors. The promotion is aimed at cricket enthusiasts, and the company is hoping to encourage engagement through a microsite, which will show city walls to enhance the local connect, which users can decorate and share across the microsite and social media.
The campaign is based around the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and asks consumers to create their cricket masterpieces on the microsite.
Using tools on the microsite, consumers can experiment with colours and styles to create visuals to mark a wall and choose preset images as well. The top rated visuals will be showcased on a gallery and given prizes. In two weeks, the site claims to have seen over 100,000 visits and 4,000 submitted images.
The Facebook page has also gained 2,500 likes from this activity, with 15 per cent of the participants who created visuals also sharing them on their Facebook pages.
Sandeep Aurora, Director, Marketing, Intel South Asia, said, “The program provides a platform for cricket enthusiasts giving them an opportunity to think creatively, create stunning visuals and share the same with family and friends. The visually smart images submitted by participants so far are an illustration of the creativity that exists in this country. This highlights how a creative idea can be turned into a stunning image with the help of technology.”
Meanwhile, an artists’ group, called the Graffiti Club, will paint a 150 foot design on a wall at Freedom Park in Bangalore for a television commercial. For more updates, be socially connected with us on
