India draws a blank in Cyber Lions

The Cyber Lions category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity was disappointing for Indian this year as well. No entry from India could make it to the shortlists.

The number of entries submitted by Indian agencies has decreased with 27 entries submitted this year as compared to 33 last year.

Ian Tait, Executive Creative Director, Google Creative Lab is the Jury President for Cyber Lions while Anita Varma, Director, Digital Driftwood is on the Jury from India.

Launched in 1998, Cyber Lions honours excellence in online digital communications and gives key players in this industry an annual meeting point. This year, 2458 entries from 59 countries, a decrease of 13% compared with last year, have been submitted. This is due to the introduction of Mobile Lions, entries of which were previously submitted into the Cyber Lions category.

The Cyber Lions trophies will be presented during the Press, Design, Radio and Cyber Lions Awards Ceremony, which will take place on June 20 at the Palais des Festivals at Cannes.
