The government is reviewing Meta's response to its notice over alleged child sexual abuse material advertisements on Instagram, MeitY Secretary S Krishnan has reportedly said.
According to media reports, Krishnan has said that further action will be decided after the assessment of the response.
According to PTI, Information Technology Secretary S Krishnan said, "On the CSAM content, we had issued a notice to Meta, and the reply has been received. It is currently under examination." He added that the government would decide its next steps after evaluating the company's submission.

The development follows allegations that paid advertisements containing Child Sexual Exploitative and Abuse Material appeared on Instagram, triggering regulatory scrutiny.
