It is one of the most anticipated and most watched shows in the history of world television. Game of Thrones not only gets enthusiasts glued in front of their television sets but fans and followers all around the world make sure they express their excitement on social media platforms.
The new season of Game of Thrones will last for seven episodes and anticipation levels were soaring across the roof before its premier on Sunday and it carried its prolific vibe on social media even on Monday, a day after the premier of the first episode.
Around all the hype for GoT, the cameo by Ed Sheeran on the episode got fans talking about the surprise element where Sheeran was singing by a campfire and caught the attention of a passing Arya Stark (Maisie Williams), who then cautiously joined their party for dinner.
Overall, the fact that Twitter is a place that unites celebrities and fans together, the stars from GoT did not shy away from the platform to show how they felt about the entire premier.
Where the stars were busy sharing their excitement the fans also took to social media to show what they felt.
The #GoTS7 was trending in India on Monday along with the #PresidentialElection #MondayMotivation among others. However, on the worldwide trend list for Monday, #GoTS7 was not featured in the list by afternoon but “Arya Stark” and “Ed Sheeran” kept their positions as the most talked about topics on Twitter.

The show has won over 200 awards including the most awarded series in Emmy history and stars the biggest ensemble cast in the television industry with the top five actors being paid $2 million per episode for the final two seasons.
