As a build up to the 27th edition of AdAsia 2011, which will be held in Delhi from October 31 to November 3, the Organising Committee of AdAsia 2011 has announced three contests on Social Media around the theme ‘Uncertainty the New Certainty’. The contests are aimed at encouraging more youth participation at the event.
Sabyasachi Mishra comes on board as CEO, JWT Vietnam and Indochina. He takes over from Chris Von Selle, current CEO of JWT Vietnam, who will be moving to Beirut to take charge as COO of the agency’s Africa operations. Mishra moves on after a two-decade long stint across Lowe offices in Asia.
Print advertising of Textiles/ Clothing sector during H1 2011 outsmarted the print advertising for this sector during H1 2010, registering an increase of 18 per cent. A total of 33 per cent of the total sector print advertising was done in Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka.
"Our mindset is to offer quality output in the area of communication, advertising and marketing. Whether that means involving other Ad Clubs, working with agencies in other cities or doing things independently, it does not matter. There is no power play at Ad Club – it is a job that needs to be done,” affirms Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar UM & President, Ad Club Bombay.
The Bombay Ad Club has announced the office bearers for 2011-12. Lodestar UM’s CEO Shashi Sinha has been elected President of the Ad Club. Times Television Network’s CEO Sunil Lulla is Vice President. Ajay Kakar, CMO, Aditya Birla Group – Financial Services and Sujoy Ghosh, Director, BCCL are Secretary & Jt Secretary, respectively. Pratap Bose, CEO, Mudra Max is the Treasurer.
