The Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) had invited tenders from agencies for awarding advertising rights on its fleet of buses for a period of three years. The advertising rights would be awarded for air-conditioned buses running on nine routes in the state, carrying over 7,000 passengers every day. June 17, 2010 is the last day for submission of duly completed tenders.

The Kolkata High Court on June 16 granted an interim injunction, restraining UTV News Ltd and UTV Global Broadcasting Ltd from continuing with an ad campaign they had come out with recently for business news channel Bloomberg UTV. The petition was filed against the group by HT Media Ltd, which alleged that the ads released by Bloomberg UTV bore a striking resemblance to the ads for its business daily Mint.
