Avishkaar announced the addition of an ed-tech entrepreneur to their leadership team. Pooja Goyal joins Avishkaar as the Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer and brings with her over 20 years of global leadership experience in EdTech and product development with the likes of Adobe, KLAY, and PalmSource Inc.
Prior to joining Avishkaar, Pooja built Intellitots- an early year’s education company that was acquired by KLAY in an all-cash deal. Pooja’s first start-up was an enterprise software company in the Silicon Valley and she has been associated with some of the biggest names in the technology world like Adobe where she led the Acrobat Product marketing team in the USA and Print and Scan business in India and Palm Source which was the pioneer in smartphones and handhelds. An alumna of IIT Delhi and INSEAD, Pooja has built and led cross-functional teams across the globe. She brings a rich experience of driving strategy to product marketing to business development to launching billion-dollar products like Acrobat. “We are delighted to have Pooja as the Co-founder & Chief Operating Officer at Avishkaar, said Tarun Bhalla, Founder of Avishkaar. Pooja’s deep subject matter expertise in activating global consumer sales and market growth is unmatched. Her experience in leading strategy, fundraising and building products and companies will be a key asset to Avishkaar. We are confident of building Avishkaar into a global edtech brand and introduce millions of children across the world to next-generation technologies.”
Avishkaar robotics kits are already used by more than 100,000 students in over 1100 schools across India. COVID-19 led tailwinds in the K-12 education segment and the recently released NEP 2020 by the government of India have opened an immense opportunity for the company. As the co-founder at Avishkaar, Pooja is looking to scale the company to the next level of growth and build a worldwide robotics and coding education brand out of India – a 38-billion-dollar market worldwide.
Pooja Goyal said, "Avishkaar has done an extraordinary job of arming hundreds of thousands of students in the k-12 segment with skills to be future-ready and provide exposure to next-gen technologies like Robotics, IoT, Artificial Intelligence and Drones. I am excited to be part of Avishkaar and help bridge the gap between the skills needed for the world of tomorrow and the skills that our schools prepare children for. I look forward to working closely with the Avishkaar team in its upcoming phase of rapid growth and lead it to be a global edtech brand."For more updates, be socially connected with us on
