Janak Vora, who has previously been associated with marquees such as Beam Suntory, Wizcraft, EY, Zapak Digital Entertainment (Reliance Entertainment) has joined Event Capital as CEO. Vora brings with him 20 years of rich experience across various industry segments such as live entertainment, consumer products, management consulting, and digital.
In his new role at Event Capital, Vora will be responsible for curating the product portfolio and drive the company and build more unique, innovative IPs that target different segments of society. He will also be responsible to position the company as a thought leader in Event IPs and branded content, not only in India but globally as well.

Speaking on his new role, Janak Vora said, “I am excited about this role at Event Capital. Having spent many years in the live entertainment space, I am aware of the multitude of challenges in managing the business of live entertainment. Having said that what impresses me about Event Capital is the fact that in a short span of 6 years, it has been able to build a sustainable business around event IPs, cutting across segments such as music, lifestyle and fashion, kid’s entertainment and the digital space. I am looking forward to assisting the management team to make Event Capital a formidable force in shaping the future of live entertainment in India”.
In his last stint as the Business Head, Brand Development of IIFA, Vora was actively involved in the project management of the annual IIFA weekend events and was also spearheading the development of new business verticals, as well as an overall, revamp of the digital identity of brand IIFA. He has also been involved in the development and launching of key properties of Wizcraft such as – IIFA Awards, F Awards (Awards for the Indian Fashion Fraternity), Kingdom of Dreams to name a few. He was also the Project Head for IIFA from 2013 to 2018, which helped him earn a crucial global and multi-cultural experience.
After completing his business management education, Vora joined Wizcraft International Entertainment to assist the management in launching a unique web-portal that was the pioneer of video-on-demand and live webcasts in India. Over the years, he has gained experience across a range of reputed organizations and has contributed in multiple ways, such as - Incubation, New Product Launches, Launching new Intellectual Properties in Live Entertainment and Destination Entertainment, Business Advisory Services, etc.
At Beam Suntory (then Beam Global) Vora played a key role in setting up the imported brands business in India and was responsible for the launch of leading brands such as Teacher’s Scotch (Bottled in Origin), Laphroaig Single Malt, Ballentine’s Scotch Whisky, Sauza Tequila, Courvoisier Cognac, etc. During his stint at global consulting firm EY, he was part of the Business Advisory Services team and has worked on advising clients on 5-year growth plans.
