In a move aimed at synergising processes and business opportunities to scale up revenues, IndiaCast, the domestic, international and digital distribution arm of Viacom18 and TV18, on Monday announced an organisational rejig of its revenue management structure.

Amit Arora, who has steered the domestic business for IndiaCast over the years, has been elevated as President, India Affiliate Business.  Additionally, Arora will also drive the South Asia business along with linear distribution with telcos.

Govind Shahi, a seasoned veteran known for his sharp & strategic mindset, will now take over the mandate of heading the international business for IndiaCast. As the International Business Head, Govind Shahi will oversee and drive business and revenues across functions and regions. All regional and vertical heads would report to Shahi.

Sachin Gokhale, previously responsible for nurturing and successfully developing and rapidly growing the Middle East and Africa region and has managed our Asia Pacific & Business operations verticals, will now assume the new role of heading the America’s business. Gokhale would be responsible for expansion and growth of business to new markets in the Americas and dialing up various digital initiatives in the region. 

Debkumar Dasgupta, who continues to impressively grow the global syndication business, will take on the added responsibility of heading the Middle East and Africa region.

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment has appointed Seth Jones as creative director, as per media reports.

Prior to this, Jones was with AnalogFolk. He will be responsible for the agency’s total creative outputs and will be reporting to UK chief executive Jamie Wynne-Morgan.

Jones has worked with brands like Nike, PepsiCo, Lucozade and Sainsbury’. 

Before Analog Folk, he has worked with Tribal Worldwide and Elvis Communication.

This comes closely to the agency’s other changes at the senior level.

Smriti Mehra has been elevated as Executive Vice President, Focus at Network18 to head revenue. After stints with Discovery Channel, Arré and Turner Broadcasting, Mehra returned home to Network18 Group last year. 
She will report to Priyanka Kaul – President, Marketing & Special Projects, Network18.
 
Mehra brings with her over 16 years of experience as a Sales Professional with a demonstrated history of working in the broadcast media industry. During her first stint with Network18, Mehra was National Head for CNBC-TV18 Focus.
 
Commenting on the appointment, Mehra said, “I’m so very excited to be taking on this role as I think Network18 Focus has pioneered the concept of partnering with clients to create platforms of engagement for brands and businesses. DCMN India bags media duties for FanFight

DCMN India, a growth marketing partner to digital-first brands, has bagged the media duties for FanFight, a fantasy sports start-up.

The mandate involves managing the media duties across multiple channels for FanFight and establishing it as a leading player in the Indian market. The focus will be on brand building as well as delivering performance for FanFight.

The account will be serviced from the Gurgaon office of DCMN and will be led by Bindu Balakrishnan, Country Head, DCMN India. The pitch process was held in Gurgaon.

FanFight is all set to launch a pan-India campaign to connect with its audiences and indulge them in fantasy sports, especially when the country is all set to witness IPL Season 12 and Cricket World Cup in 2019.

Natekar was previously associated with MTV India as Business Head. Natekar has over 15 years of experience in the field of sales and marketing. He has also worked with BigAdda, and prior to that he had worked with Turner International for over five years, where he had last held the post of West and North Head for Ad Sales at HBO India.

He had started his career with Bennett Coleman and Company in the Response team, post which he moved to SET, where he was part of the start-up ad sales team for Max.

Sonia Kapoor has decided to quit the Network 18 group. She was Business Head & Executive Vice President at TV 18 Broadcast India Ltd Branded Content and Special Projects. 

Kapoor confirmed the development to exchange4media. When asked what would be her next endeavour, she said, "Nothing to say as of now. I will make an announcement." She also confirmed that she is serving a notice period till June. 

Kapoor began her journey with Network 18 in July 2002 as Manager. In May 2010, she became Senior Vice President. She was later appointed National Revenue Head for CNBC in March 2012. On February 2016, she was appointed Business Head & Executive Vice President at TV 18 Broadcast India Ltd Branded Content and Special Projects.
