GroupM has announced new appointments in its Asia-Pacific leadership. Patrick Xu and Ashutosh Shrivastava have been named as CEOs in the APAC region, according to the latest media reports. The two will be replacing Mark Patterson who had been promoted as global COO in November 2019.

Xu will continue to be WPP’s country manager in China and will also be taking responsibilities of GroupM’s Hong Kong and Taiwan markets. He will focus on managing growth in the wake of the coronavirus impact in these markets.

Shrivastava will be in charge of other markets in GroupM Asia-Pacific ambit, where he will drive growth. He will also work on managing developments on digital platforms, services and back-office functions in India.

The two are the recent additions to GroupM’s leadership team. They will contribute to strategy and operations throughout all of GroupM’s agencies in the APAC regions.
