Tokyo based Dentsu is reportedly set to adopt a new Group Management Structure from January 1, 2020, which will lead to a bifurcation into two primary divisions: Dentsu Japan Network and Dentsu Aegis Network. The current Dentsu Inc. will shift to a 'pure holding company' and its trade name will be changed to Dentsu Group Inc.

Also, Dentsu Group Inc. will establish an in-house company, Dentsu Japan Network, which will formulate business plans and build the infrastructure for the Group's overall operations in Japan.

According to reports, the announcement was made after Dentsu President and CEO, Toshihiro Yamamoto convened a meeting where it was decided that the new Group Management Structure would be adopted, effective from January 2020 and selected its executive members for FY2020.

As part of the restructuring, Dentsu Group Inc added Dentsu Aegis Network CFO Nick Priday to its board of directors.
