The Pitch Madison Advertising Report 2020, on predictions of advertising spends in the media and advertising industry, will be released at the Taj Santacruz, Mumbai today. The suspense will finally be lifted on what 2020 holds for the Indian advertising industry with Madison World’s Chairman and Managing Director, Sam Balsara unveiling the report at the spectacular event. Given the hours of painstaking research that goes behind putting together this report, it is not surprising to see why the report has become a benchmark for the industry. The report is launched by Pitch, in partnership with Madison World.

The report not only predicts the future growth potential of the Indian advertising industry but also provides detailed insights into the trends, challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. Every advertising medium like print, TV, digital, radio, OOH, and cinema are analysed to provide a comprehensive study of what the industry can expect in the coming year.

The release of the report will be followed by the Chief Guest’s Address by none other than Manoj Kohli, Country Head, SoftBank India. The evening will then bear witness to a stellar line up of speakers from across the business spectrum. They will share their expertise and experience on a wide variety of subjects related to the media and advertising world.

The past year has not been an easy one for India Inc. with the economy pulling down the overall market sentiment. Vivek Sunder, COO, Swiggy will take to the stage for a session on 'How to thrive in a slowdown, the advertiser’s view'. Swiggy’s advertising has as many fans following as any mainstream celebrity, therefore Sunder’s session promises to be a first-hand understanding of what clicks for consumers in an overcrowded space.

Next up will be Sanjay Behl, CEO, Lifestyle Business, Raymond, for his session on ‘Disrupt or Perish’. Indians love their movies and especially love watching them in the theatres, yet advertising doesn’t get its due in cinema halls.-‘Why should Cinema just have 1% share of AdEx?’ is the question that Sanjay Gaikwad, Founder and MD, UFO Moviez, will be aptly raising for his session at the event.

The evening will conclude with the man who understands the business of news inside out, his views, therefore, are invaluable to best understand trends that define the industry. Avinash Pandey, CEO of ABP News Network will share his views on the topic, ‘Are you Interesting and are you Interested: The new Mantra for growth’.
