LG Electronics launches campaign for mosquito repellent TV
The communication will be promoted primarily on digital, besides the company also plans to use the concept at a BTL level to hammer the key benefit at point of sales
LG has launched a digital campaign to promote the sales of its new product, LG Mosquito Away TV, which has been developed using the Indian insight on problem of mosquitoes. The video features the Bambani family watching a cricket match at home.
After introducing each family member, the creative depicts the persistent clapping problem the family has owing to the harrowing experience of dealing with mosquitoes. However after coming across an ad of the new LG Mosquito Away TV, and ordering it home, the family is able to enjoy TV without worrying about mosquitoes.
Commenting on the campaign, LG spokesperson said," The most important reason to come up with this communication was to first establish the believability in the product. Once done it was important to establish the capability of its performance. The agency understood and executed the brief to the T. It has adhered to the brief and delivered an outcome in terms of the concept as well as in spirit."
