Arijit Ray joins Dentsu Communications as CEO
Ray joins Dentsu from DDB Mudra Group. His key priority will be to enhance and reinforce Dentsu’s competencies and output
Continuing with its series of senior-level appointments, Dentsu India Group has appointed Arijit Ray as Chief Executive Officer, Dentsu Communications. Ray’s key priority will be to enhance and reinforce the agency’s competencies and output including overall creative, strategy and services along with strengthening media synergies and driving growth.
Ray joins Dentsu from DDB Mudra Group, where he was President, DDB Mudra West.

Ray’s career in advertising began with New Delhi-based Alfred Allan Advertising in the early 90s from where he moved to Triton Communications, New Delhi. He joined McCann Erickson, Delhi as Associate Account Director in 1999, where he led its Nescafe business. He moved on to Rediffusion Y&R, Delhi as Account Director in 2000, where he was Business Head on its Godfrey Philips portfolio, and later to Rediffusion Y&R, Kolkata as Branch Head in 2001, before rejoining the agency’s Delhi office in 2003 as General Manager on the Airtel national business. In early 2004, Ray joined O&M, Mumbai as Vice President and Head. He then moved to Saatchi & Saatchi in 2005 as Business Head, Mumbai Operations. In 2008, Arijit joined Mudra as Executive Vice President and Head Mudra West.
