Airtel’s new campaign ‘Udaan’ celebrates the art of storytelling
Airtel’s new campaign titled ‘Udaan’ in partnership with author Amish Tripathi and conceptualised by J. Walter Thompson aims at providing underprivileged children an opportunity to share their stories with the world.
Storytelling is an art in itself and not everyone is gifted with it. Even children have stories to share, but most of their stories go unheard because they never find an audience. Airtel India recently provided an opportunity to some underprivileged talented kids to share their stories and make the world listen to them.
On March 1, Airtel released its new campaign titled ‘Udaan’ in partnership with author Amish Tripathi and conceptualised by J. Walter Thompson. These kids joined the author in releasing a book, the narrative of which was started by Tripathi and completed by these children, who unleashed their imagination without any restraint. This was done without the author meeting the kids.
The story was recently revealed at the Jaipur lit Fest live through teleporting 3D images of the kids. With the help of technology, not only did they connect the kids to the audience, but an illustrated book on their story was also released.
