The week gone saw some prominent people movement as well as new appointments in industry bodies. It started with Bobby Ghosh, Editor-In-Chief of the Hindustan Times quitting the organisation due to personal reasons. Even with technology taking huge leaps with each passing day, here is something even the best of ad-blockers still cannot block - branded content. Which is why we put the spotlight on how well can Branded Content solve strategic business problems? The Advertising Club (TAC) unanimously elected industry veteran Vikram Sakhuja (Group Chief Executive Officer - Media and OOH, Madison Communications) as its President as he took the baton from Raj Nayak, who lead TAC towards new highs across two consecutive terms. Abanti Sankaranarayanan was unanimously elected as the Chairman of the Board of ASCI. The Media Research Users Council (MRUC) Board of Governors unanimously elected Ashish Bhasin, Chairman & CEO, South Asia, Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN), as the new Chairman. Punit Goenka (Managing Director, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited) was re-elected as the President of the Indian Broadcasting Foundation (IBF), at the 18th IBF Annual General Meeting (AGM) while Punit Misra, CEO-Domestic Broadcast Business, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, is the new inductee to the 12 member Indian Broadcasting Foundation Board of Directors.
