Rachana Panda quits General Electric

Rachana Panda, currently Chief Communications Officer & Citizenship Leader at GE South Asia left the organisation in December.

Confirming the development with  exchange4media, Rachana said, "It has been a wonderful 7 years stint at General Electric (GE). It is one of the best organizations to work in. I was overwhelmed with the kind of opportunities I was exposed to and had a wonderful pool of colleagues who helped me in and out.”

She further added, "In my 25 years long journey in the corporate communications industry, I have worked across sectors and one parameter that separates GE from other organizations is, the quality of work and people in the organization."

A Harvard Business School alumnus, Rachana is a part of the leadership team where her role is to lead & champion the communications function in the region. Her role comprises advising the leadership team on all facets of communications, which includes employee engagement and external communications. She also leads the Brand, Advertising & Digital communications team for this region. She is actively involved in conversations around innovation, entrepreneurship and believes in creating a culture and ecosystem around it. 

Talking of her next stint, Rachana informed that change is always appreciable. “I am taking some time off working, and will be back soon in the industry," she concluded.
