Vassilis Koutsoumpas has joined OpenAI as Head of Strategy & Operations, taking on a global role alongside George Osborne, former Chancellor of the Exchequer and Managing Director, Head of OpenAI for Countries.
Koutsoumpas shared on LinkedIn, saying his role will involve working across markets with governments, institutions, businesses and organisations to support the adoption of AI.
At OpenAI, Koutsoumpas is also serving as Chief of Staff to Osborne, who leads the company's work with countries.
Before joining OpenAI, Koutsoumpas was associated with the General Secretariat of the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, where he served as Digital Policy & AI Applications Adviser to the Prime Minister at the Presidency of the Government.
