- Sneha Menon Desai has been appointed Editor of The Hollywood Reporter India, effective October 1, 2026, succeeding founding Editor Anupama Chopra, who will remain as an Advisor.

Sneha Menon Desai has been appointed Editor of The Hollywood Reporter India (THR India), effective October 1, 2026, RPSG Lifestyle Media announced on Monday.
Desai, who currently serves as Deputy Editor, has been part of THR India’s founding editorial team. She brings more than 17 years of editorial experience and has been associated with the publication since its launch.
She will take over the role from founding Editor Anupama Chopra, who has decided to step down from the day-to-day editorial leadership of THR India. Chopra will continue her association with RPSG Lifestyle Media as an Advisor, contributing to select editorial and creative projects, initiatives and intellectual properties across the group’s portfolio.
Commenting on Desai’s appointment, Avarna Jain, Chairperson, RPSG Lifestyle Media, said she has been an integral part of THR India’s journey from the beginning and brings a deep understanding of the brand, the entertainment industry and its editorial standards.
Speaking about her new role, Desai said, “Taking over from Anupama and stepping into the Editor’s role at THR India is both an extraordinary honour and a significant responsibility.”
She added that the focus would be on building on the publication’s existing editorial foundation, broadening its coverage, deepening engagement with the entertainment industry across India and evolving its storytelling across platforms.
Debashish Ghosh, CEO, RPSG Lifestyle Media, said the next phase for THR India would focus on expanding the brand across print, digital, video, industry-facing journalism and live platforms while maintaining its editorial rigour and credibility.
The Hollywood Reporter India was launched by RPSG Lifestyle Media in September 2024. It is the Indian edition of global entertainment media brand The Hollywood Reporter and covers the people, businesses, ideas and developments shaping India’s entertainment industry across print, digital, video and live experiences.
RPSG Lifestyle Media, part of the RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, also publishes Esquire India, Robb Report India and Manifest.
