Shafalika Saxena to bid adieu as CMO of Microsoft India

Shafalika Saxena is moving on as Head of Central Marketing Group at Microsoft India. It is learnt that June 28, 2013 will be her last working day with Microsoft India. Highly placed sources have confirmed the news and said that Saxena will be moving to the US due to family reasons.
Meanwhile, Microsoft is reportedly deliberating a new role and creating a new position for Saxena in the US.
At Microsoft, Saxena has been overseeing marketing budget, key marketing engines (data, analytics, marcom, events, digital, social) and agency relationships. She is also credited with launching market entry campaigns across the Microsoft product portfolio, including Windows8, Windows Server, Office 2013, Office 365, Azure.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Saxena was Vice President, Board of Governors for American Embassy School. She is the Founding Thinker for Th!nk India, where she worked for more than two years handling high-impact strategy, positioning and communication. She has been the Global Vice President, Brand Development for Unilever, where she initiated engagement for brand Dove and evolved and evangelised Dove’s campaign for Real Beauty. She is also the Founder of Better Botanicals Inc, where she worked for over 10 years. She was also the Marketing Manager, Cola Portfolio for PepsiCo and has also been a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble for six years.
Identified as one of the top CMOs by the World Brand Congress, Saxena has spoken at several industry events, including exchange4media’s Pitch CMO Summit held on March 1, 2013 in Delhi.
