Samsung Electronics has announced the appointment of Won-Jin Lee as the new Head of its Visual Display Business. He succeeds Seok Woo Yong, who will now serve as an advisor to the Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division.

Before taking on this responsibility, Lee led Samsung’s Global Marketing Office. He has extensive experience in marketing, digital services, and content businesses, and has played an important role in the growth of Samsung’s television and mobile service segments.

In his new position, Lee will focus on driving business growth, improving operational performance, and identifying new opportunities to strengthen the company’s Visual Display Business. His expertise is expected to help Samsung maintain its competitive edge in the fast-changing consumer electronics market.

Meanwhile, Seok Woo Yong will take on an advisory role within the DX Division. Leveraging his strong background in research and development as well as business leadership, he will provide strategic direction on future technologies, with a particular focus on areas such as artificial intelligence and robotics.
