TM Roh appointed Co-CEO of Samsung Electronics

- Samsung Electronics has appointed TM Roh as the Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division and co-CEO alongside Young Hyun Jun, who remains Vice Chairman and Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division.
- TM Roh will continue to lead Samsung's mobile business as Head of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business, while Young Hyun Jun will also oversee the Memory Business.
- Janghyun Yoon has been named President, Chief Technology Officer of the DX Division, and Head of Samsung Research, previously serving as CEO of Samsung Venture Investment.
- Hongkun Park has been appointed as the Head of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT), recognized for his expertise in nanoscience and quantum science, and currently a professor at Harvard University.
Samsung Electronics has announced that TM Roh has officially been appointed as the Head of the Device eXperience (DX) Division and will serve as CEO. He will share the role of co-CEO with Young Hyun Jun, Vice Chairman and Head of the Device Solutions (DS) Division.
President Roh will continue to lead Samsung’s mobile business as the Head of the Mobile eXperience (MX) Business. Vice Chairman Jun will also continue in his position as Head of the Memory Business.
To further strengthen Samsung’s leadership in technology and innovation, the company has made two additional key appointments. Janghyun Yoon has been named President, Chief Technology Officer of the DX Division, and Head of Samsung Research. Hongkun Park has been appointed as the Head of the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT).
Before this role, President Yoon served as the CEO of Samsung Venture Investment. He has also handled major responsibilities within the MX Business, including leadership of software platforms, IoT, and Tizen development.
Hongkun Park is a distinguished academic who currently serves as the Mark Hyman Jr. Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Physics at Harvard University. He is widely recognised for his expertise in nanoscience, quantum science, and advanced engineering.
