Qyuki Digital Media appoints Samir Bangara as MD & CEO
Bangara moves from Disney UTV, where he was Managing Director of the company’s digital business

The Board of Qyuki Digital Media has announced the appointment of Samir Bangara as its Managing Director and CEO, succeeding Poonacha Machaiah. Bangara will assume his new role from June 3, 2013. Qyuki is the media start-up of filmmaker Shekhar Kapur and music maestro AR Rahman.
Prior to this appointment, Bangara was Managing Director of the digital business at Disney UTV, which specialising in games, audio and video content. With 15 years of extensive experience in the media and technology space, Bangara was responsible for driving growth and scaling the digital business of Disney UTV in various avatars.
“More than track record in building companies, what is important to me and AR Rahman is that the goals and dreams of people that join our endeavour are equal to ours. We welcome Samir in joining us both as part of the founding team,” said Shekhar Kapur.
