Pavel Chopra has stepped down as Chief Human Resources Officer at Zee Media Corporation Limited.

Chopra had joined the company in October 2024 as CHRO, bringing with him over two decades of experience across industries including media, logistics, financial services and information technology.

Before joining Zee Media, Chopra served as Chief Human Resources Officer at OxyZEN Express for nearly three years. During his tenure, he led the HR strategy for the tech-logistics startup and played a key role in scaling the business. He was instrumental in building a pan-India network covering over 11,000 pin codes and helped grow the company to approximately ₹100 crore in consolidated revenue. His experience in senior stakeholder management and organisational development contributed significantly to the company’s rapid expansion.

Prior to this, Chopra held the position of CHRO at Allcargo Limited and GATI Limited. In this capacity, he led people strategy and cultural transformation for a workforce of over 10,000 employees across 300+ locations. His role was particularly critical following Allcargo Logistics’ acquisition of GATI, where he drove alignment and integration across the two organisations.

At GATI, Chopra held multiple leadership roles, including Chief HR, Administration and Vigilance Officer, and CHRO. Over a five-year tenure, he led several HR initiatives, aligning business strategy with operational priorities while supporting a workforce of more than 10,000 employees.

Earlier in his career, Chopra worked with Sony Pictures Networks India as Senior HR Business Partner and Head of Rewards and Performance Management Systems (PMS), where he oversaw HR functions for technical and support teams. He also served at Aditya Birla Sun Life Insurance as Head of Compensation and Benefits and HR Business Partner for corporate functions, further strengthening his expertise in compensation strategy and HR policy development.
