Soumya Ranjan Acharya, who has quit Zee News after 6 years, is set to join a global ad tech company, e4m has learnt. At Zee News, Soumya was Head of Strategy and Alliances.

As part of his role at Zee, Soumya nurtured and managed all agency relationships. Soumya joined Zee News from Publicis and has worked for Madison, GroupM, Hindustan Times, IMRB and MoMagic.

Over the years, Soumya consistently scaled revenues, strengthened agency ecosystems, and unlocked new growth across TV, digital, and platform businesses—by bringing brands, agencies, and content together in a way that makes commercial sense.

Soumya’s experience spans revenue strategy, media investments, partnerships, and go-to-market execution, with a strong focus on integrated solutions for advertisers.

Soumya’s journey includes stints across Publicis Groupe, WPP, Madison World, Dentsu, HT Media, MoMagic Technologies and then Zee Media Corporation Limited.

Soumya is stepping into an ad-tech leadership role with a globally ad tech player, with a clear focus on building a data-led, scalable growth engine. The role and company would be announced coming week.
