- Mundra has over 26 years of finance leadership experience across various industries, including media, telecom, and manufacturing, previously serving as Head of Finance at JioStar and CFO at Viacom18 Media.
- In his new role, he will focus on financial planning, governance, business strategy, and supporting operational growth as upGrad expands globally.

upGrad has appointed Mukesh Mundra as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). He will be based in Mumbai and will oversee the company’s finance and administration functions.
In his new role, Mundra will be responsible for financial planning, governance, business strategy and supporting operational growth as upGrad continues to expand its presence globally.
Mundra brings more than 26 years of experience in finance leadership across industries such as media, telecom, manufacturing and consumer businesses. Before joining upGrad, he was serving as Head of Finance at JioStar.
Prior to that, he spent over eight years as CFO at Viacom18 Media Private Limited. During his earlier career, he also worked in senior roles at Idea Cellular, Grasim Industries and Anand Rathi Group.
Speaking about joining the company, Mukesh Mundra said that upGrad is currently at an important stage of growth as it continues to focus on lifelong learning and workforce development. He added that building strong and scalable financial systems while supporting innovation and business transformation is an exciting opportunity, and he looks forward to working closely with the leadership team to strengthen the company’s global growth plans.
