  • HSBC has appointed Gautam Anand as Head of Global India at HSBC Private Bank, effective April 24, 2026.
  • Anand has over 25 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, and investment banking, and previously served as Global Coordinator for Global India, Middle East, North Africa, and Europe at HSBC Private Bank.
  • In his new role, he will oversee the Global India private banking franchise, focusing on client solutions across India and key international hubs such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the UK.
  • Tommy Leung, Head of Private Bank, South Asia, emphasized Anand's extensive experience and the importance of delivering seamless cross-market solutions for increasingly international clients.

HSBC has onboarded Gautam Anand as Head of Global India at HSBC Private Bank. His role has been effective from April 24, 2026.

Gautam brings over 25 years of experience across private banking, wealth management, and investment banking. His appointment will play a key role in strengthening connectivity across HSBC’s international network for Global India clients. 

Prior to joining HSBC Private Bank in December 2023 as Global Coordinator, Global India, Middle East, North Africa and Europe, he held senior leadership roles across various international financial institutions, where he was responsible for driving the growth of South Asian and Global India client businesses across Asia.

In his new role, Gautam will lead the Global India private banking franchise, overseeing coverage across India, and key international hubs including Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore and the UK, with a focus on delivering holistic client solutions for Global India clients. He will report to Tommy Leung, Head of Private Bank, South Asia and Aladdin Hangari, Head of Private Bank, MENAT.
