Gaurav Jain has been appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Porter. He joins the logistics platform after more than 11 years at Amazon.
Jain most recently served as Director and Head of Finance for India Operations and Supply Chain at Amazon, a role he held since January 2025. Before that, he was Director Finance for Amazon’s India Consumer business from October 2022 to January 2025. He previously held the positions of Senior Finance Manager and Finance Manager at Amazon after joining the company in 2015.
In an internal email accessed by BW CFO WORLD, Porter CEO and Co-founder Uttam Digga confirmed Jain’s appointment as CFO.The mail was shared by the ceo & co-founder on 7th sept at 4:22 PM.
“I am very happy to announce that Gaurav Jain has joined Porter as our Chief Financial Officer,” Digga said in the email.
Digga added that Jain brings more than 20 years of experience across e-commerce, financial services and FMCG, including more than a decade at Amazon.
Before joining Amazon, Jain held finance and strategy roles across financial services and FMCG. He was Business Planner and Controller at Shalimar Paints from 2013 to 2015 and Vice President of Group Strategy at Religare from 2010 to 2013.
Jain began his career as an Analyst at Ambit Capital in 2010. Earlier, he spent close to three years at Unilever, where he worked as a Business Leadership Trainee and later as Manager, Investor Relations, India.
Jain is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. His experience spans e-commerce, financial services, consumer goods, finance and strategy.
The appointment comes as Porter continues to scale its operations, with Jain taking charge of the company’s finance function as CFO.
