Gaurav Dewani has stepped down from his role as Revenue Head at NDTV, sources close to the development have confirmed to e4m.

His exit marks the end of a relatively brief but significant stint at the network, where he led branded content and revenue-led content solutions across platforms.

Dewani had joined NDTV in December 2023 as Head of the Content Business, overseeing monetisation initiatives spanning television, digital and on-ground properties across the network’s general news and business news portfolio. In this role, he worked closely with brands to develop integrated content solutions and advertiser-funded programming, contributing to several flagship properties and large-scale brand partnerships.

During his tenure, NDTV executed multiple branded initiatives and intellectual properties including Dettol Banega Swasth India, Samarth by Hyundai, Justice for Every Child in association with the Kailash Satyarthi Foundation, Usha Kushalta Ke Kadam, as well as marquee platforms such as the NDTV Indian of the Year, NDTV Defence Summit, NDTV Sustainability Mission, NDTV Food Awards, NDTV Infrashakti Awards and the NDTV World Summit. His mandate focused on building scalable revenue opportunities through content-led brand integrations across broadcast and digital ecosystems.

A media industry veteran with over two decades of experience across business development, marketing, strategy and operations, Dewani has held leadership roles across some of India’s leading media and entertainment organisations. Prior to NDTV, he served at Times Network as Senior Vice President and National Head – Branded Content, where he drove monetisation strategies across television and digital intellectual properties while working closely with advertisers and agencies to build large-format sponsored initiatives.

Earlier in his career, Dewani held senior roles at Zee Entertainment Enterprises, where he played a key role in developing branded live and digital intellectual properties within the music and entertainment ecosystem, including large experiential formats and sponsorship-driven platforms. He has also worked with CA-Media (under the Peter Chernin Group), contributing to revenue strategies around live entertainment and festival IPs, including properties linked to India’s alternative culture and music space.

His professional journey also includes leadership stints at The Walt Disney Company, Times Network, Network18 and Hindustan Times, where he built expertise in advertising sales, branded content and integrated media monetisation across print, television, live events and digital platforms.

A management graduate from JIMS, Rohini, Dewani also holds an Executive MBA from IIM Calcutta.
