Senior journalist Jaya Kaushik has left NDTV after nearly 15 years as an anchor and reporter to start her independent digital platform, ‘Jaya Kaushik Reports’

Kaushik shared the news on X, reflecting on her 21-year journalism journey, describing her time at NDTV as “memorable” and noting that her new platform will provide audiences with unfiltered, direct reporting. She emphasised that the approach will be one of “straight talk,” free from pressure or restrictions.

With close to two decades of experience in electronic media, Kaushik brings extensive expertise in politics, social issues, environment, health, and other critical areas.

Before entering journalism, she completed an MA in Political Science from Delhi University and pursued Development Communication at Jamia Millia Islamia’s MCRC, where she created the well-received documentary Talash. She also trained in smartphone journalism at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune.

The media community will now be watching closely to see the type of content that ‘Jaya Kaushik Reports’ delivers, and how Kaushik leverages her experience and candid reporting style in the digital space.
