Senior journalist Parikshit Luthra shared on LinkedIn that 28 February 2026 was his last day at CNBC-TV18, ending an association of nearly 20 years with Network18 Media & Investments Limited, including eight years at CNBC-TV18.
During his tenure at the business news channel, Luthra interviewed top business leaders and union ministers across sectors, and reported on key economic policies, business developments, the auto sector, and financial market stories impacting India. He also curated new programming initiatives, including Newscentre, Global Eye, and Global Lens, which examined politics and foreign policy through an economic lens.
He also mentioned in his post, “In my last few weeks at the channel, I was lucky to be a part of our coverage of the Union Budget, the India AI Summit, India’s trade deals with US & EU & our company’s flagship event, the Rising Bharat Summit 2026. I am happy that I could work and anchor till my last day & even got the opportunity to meet PM Narendra Modi briefly.”
Luthra joined CNBC-TV18 in June 2018 as an Assistant Editor and rose through the ranks to serve as Senior Editor and Chief of Bureau, a position he held for over two years. Prior to CNBC-TV18, he worked with Republic TV and CNN-News18.
He concluded his announcement by noting that he plans to take a break before embarking on his next professional assignment.
