Fabio Ercolani, Head of B2B Marketing and Strategy & Operations – Italy at Google, has decided to move on from the company after a brief stint of over 18 years. Ercolani announced the news of his departure through a LinkedIn post. Ercolani joined the tech giant in January 2007 and has held several leadership roles since then.
In the past, Ercolani said that he plans to enjoy a sabbatical traveling solo and with his family, learn new skills and then explore new avenues for the next chapter of his career.
“I have a personal announcement to make: as many of you know by now, I made the decision to leave Google. It’s not been an easy one, as this company has been my second home for such a long time. Google has given me opportunities I had never dreamed of, and the chance to do meaningful work alongside some of the brightest minds of a generation, all while having fun. From riding a StreetView car ahead of its launch, to winning market share for Chrome across every EMEA market, enjoying a private night tour of the Uffizi Gallery while digitizing", he said in his LinkedIn post.
"As for the future, I plan to enjoy a little sabbatical traveling solo and with my family, learn new skills and then explore new avenues for the next chapter of my career. In case you want to discuss any opportunity (for both travel and work), feel free to reach out", he added.
