Times Network has officially announced the appointment of Amish Devgan as Managing Editor – Times Now Navbharat. e4m was the first to report the news.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Amish Devgan as Managing Editor – Times Now Navbharat, TV, Times Network, based in Noida. In this role, Amish will report to Ashish Sehgal, CEO – Times Television Network and Chief Growth Officer – Media & Entertainment. We extend our sincere appreciation to Shamsher Singh for his leadership during the interim period ensuring business continuity and maintaining growth momentum. He will continue to lead the Digital vertical for Hindi & Vernacular languages, as Managing Editor,” the network announced in an internal communication.

Amish joins us with over 25 years of experience in broadcast journalism and editorial leadership, with extensive expertise across Hindi news, prime-time programming, political and business coverage, investigative journalism, and newsroom management.

Prior to joining Times Network, Amish was associated with Network18, where he served as Managing Editor of its regional Hindi news channels and anchored the flagship prime time show Aar Paar on News18 India. He also hosted Takkar on CNBC Awaaz. During his tenure, he played a key role in driving editorial and programming initiatives across regional Hindi television and digital, with a strong focus on audience engagement and prime-time news programming.

Amish began his journalism career with Hindustan Times and subsequently spent over a decade with Zee Media, where he held several editorial positions including Deputy Editor, Editor – Output, Editor – Special Projects, and Chief Editor – Zee Business. He has led coverage across politics, the economy and financial markets, and has been associated with several high-impact investigative stories and national news events.

Over the course of his career, Amish has also been recognised with several industry accolades, including the IMF Young Emerging Editor’s Award, Srishti Award for Business Journalism, Power Brand Trendsetter Award, and multiple ENBA awards for his television programmes.

At Times Now Navbharat, Amish will lead the editorial agenda, bringing his deep understanding of Hindi news audiences, extensive newsroom experience, and strong track record in prime-time programming to further strengthen the brand’s television and digital presence.
