- Rajat Sharma was unanimously re-elected as President of the News Broadcasters and Digital Association (NBDA) for the term 2026-27 during a board meeting.
- The NBDA currently comprises 29 leading news and current affairs broadcasters, which include 136 news channels and digital platforms.
- Mr. Jayant Mammen Mathew was appointed to the NBDA Board, while Ms. Rachna Burman and Ms. Kshipra Jatana were made Permanent Directors.
- The NBDA Board also includes several prominent media executives from various organizations, such as Mathrubhumi, News24, and Zee Media.
Rajat Sharma, Chairman and Editor-in-Chief, India TV, was today unanimously re-elected President of News Broadcasters and Digital Association (NBDA) for the year 2026-27, at the meeting of board of directors.
NBDA is the apex association which has presently 29 leading news and current affairs broadcasters (comprising 136 news channels and digital platforms) as its members.
Earlier, at the 19th Annual General Meeting, NBDA also welcomed Mr. Jayant Mammen Mathew, representing MM TV Ltd., who was appointed to the Board.
At the same meeting, Ms. Rachna Burman, Director--Public Policy & Content Assurance, The Times Group and Ms. Kshipra Jatana, Group General Counsel - Network18 Media & Investments Limited were made Permanent Directors in NBDA.

Mr. M.V. Shreyams Kumar, Managing Director, Mathrubhumi Printing & Publishing Co. Ltd.
Ms. Anuradha Prasad Shukla, Chairperson and Managing Director of News24 Broadcast India Ltd.
Ms. Kalli Purie Bhandal, Vice-Chairperson & Managing Director - TV Today Network Ltd.
Mr. Anil Kumar Malhotra, Advisor - Zee Media Corporation Ltd.
Mr. Dhruba Mukherjee, Director - ABP Network Pvt. Ltd.
Mr. Rahul Kanwal, CEO and Editor-in-Chief - New Delhi Television Ltd.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar Rajaraman, Managing Director - Sun TV Network Ltd.
