Arun Singh Rawat, National Sales Head at Republic World, has put in his papers, according to sources familiar with the development. However, Rawat is understood to be continuing in his role at the network currently and there has been no official announcement regarding his exit timeline yet.
Rawat has been associated with the network since 2017 and has played a significant role in strengthening the sales and monetisation strategy for the broadcaster’s flagship brands including Republic TV, Republic Bharat and Republic Bangla.
Industry sources say Rawat has been among the key commercial leaders at the network during its aggressive expansion phase, particularly in the Hindi news market. Under his tenure, the network consolidated its presence across North India markets including Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan.
Before joining Republic World, Rawat was associated with Network18 as Account Group Head – Sales, where he managed marquee clients including Maruti, Hyundai, Microsoft, Dabur and Nestle across brands such as CNN-News18 and CNBC-TV18.
He has also previously worked with Shri Adhikari Brothers Group, where he handled corporate sales and business development for channels including Mastiii and Dabangg.
With over 15 years of experience in television sales, media planning and business development, Rawat is regarded in industry circles for his strong agency relationships and revenue growth capabilities across categories such as FMCG, automobile, consumer durables and telecom.
