Amit Wadhwa, the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dentsu Creative & Media Brands, South Asia, is set to lead the network’s integrated Creative and Media operations across the region. In this expanded role, he will now unify the agency’s three creative powerhouses — Dentsu Creative Webchutney, Dentsu Creative Isobar, and Dentsu Creative PR — with five key media brands — Carat, dentsu X, iProspect, Posterscope, and Sokrati. The mandate is clear: break down traditional silos, create synergy between disciplines, and accelerate growth through connected, strategic, and impactful solutions.
Amit will report to Harsha Razdan, CEO – South Asia, dentsu, and Prerna Mehrotra, CCO and CEO – Media, APAC. His elevation reflects dentsu’s commitment to a truly integrated model where creativity and media are no longer parallel paths but part of a single, cohesive journey.
Describing this bold integration as a “rare move,” Amit emphasizes that success lies not in individual brilliance but in intentional collaboration, shared ownership, and collective impact. With 2024 having set the foundation, he sees 2025 as a year defined by momentum, faster execution, and smarter outcomes for clients and teams alike.
Prior to this, Amit served as CEO of Dentsu Creative India, a role in which he steered the agency to global recognition, including being named Agency of the Year at Cannes Lions 2022 — a historic win for Indian advertising. Over his 20+ year career, Amit has held key leadership positions across some of the country’s top agencies, including Leo Burnett, JWT, Lowe Lintas, Enterprise Nexus, and Mudra.
His journey through various strategic and client-facing roles — from President at Dentsu Impact to Business Unit Head at Lowe Lintas — has cemented his reputation as a leader who blends creative instinct with business acumen.
Amit’s experience and vision place him at the helm of dentsu’s transformation in South Asia, as the network redefines what the future of integrated marketing looks like.
