Amit Sharma has announced that he has moved on from Dream Sports. Sharma was the Co-founder of Dream Play and CTO of Dream Sports. Sharma is now associated with his a new venture Stealth as Co-Founder.
The news has been shared by Sharma in a LinkedIn post.
“After a wonderful decade at Dream Sports, it’s finally time for me to move on to my next adventure. In 2016, I made the decision to move to India after 12 years in the US. I arrived with two small babies, and almost everyone I knew questioned the move. I had spent my entire career in the Valley up to that point, extremely fortunate to work alongside some of the smartest people at Yahoo and Netflix.
I joined Dream11 when it was just a 45-person company with a 20-member tech team. For the first time, I was given the opportunity to combine my passion for sports with my profession in tech. Over the years, we scaled that tech team to 600 strong—all based right here in Mumbai, proving wrong everyone who said it couldn't be done :). Together, we built some of the most technically complex systems and most-loved apps in the country.
I am incredibly grateful to my team, who worked so hard and made this success possible, and to all my peers who taught me so much along the way. I would also like to say a massive thank you to Harsh Jain and Bhavit Sheth for having faith in me and giving me this opportunity.
What’s next? I’ll be building something cool again (obviously with AI ?).
