Amar Dixit is set to take over as Chief Executive Officer of WOI India following SwiftSeed Ventures’ integration with the organisation.
Dixit, who founded SwiftSeed Ventures, said the move will allow him to take the experience and learnings from the venture firm to a larger entrepreneurship ecosystem.
As part of the new role, Dixit will focus on building WOI India as an ecosystem connecting entrepreneurs with capital, infrastructure, knowledge, institutions, corporates, governments and global networks.
WOI India already operates Startup Park Bangalore, a 2 lakh-plus sq ft infrastructure focused on startups. Its ecosystem also includes five venture studios, eight Centres of Excellence and an investment portfolio comprising more than 45 investments, according to Dixit.
Announcing the development on LinkedIn, Dixit said the ambition extends beyond these existing initiatives and is aimed at building an institution that can support the next generation of Indian entrepreneurship and create pathways for startups to scale.
He also thanked founders, investors, partners and others who had been associated with SwiftSeed Ventures, saying the new chapter would build on the relationships and work developed through the venture firm's journey.
Dixit said further developments, including evolving existing partnerships and new collaborations, are expected to take shape over the coming months.
