Myntra’s Gen Z-focused fashion destination, FWD, is turning the spotlight on India’s youth as a key driver of future growth. In the run-up to International Youth Day, Myntra FWD launched the ‘Herd Se Hatke Makeover Machine’, a campus activation designed to connect directly with students, inspire self-expression, and give them a style edge for the new academic year.

Timed with the back-to-college season, the initiative took Myntra FWD’s trend-forward styles directly into the heart of youth culture; college campuses. With Gen Z forming a large share of India’s emerging fashion consumers, colleges present the perfect opportunity for FWD to build long-term brand loyalty and engagement, stated a press release from the company.

Myntra FWD’s campus campaign empowered students to refresh their wardrobes and express their personal style, offering exclusive experiences and unbeatable deals. Students on participating college campuses could unlock geo-fenced digital coupons simply by scanning a QR code – granting them amazing deals starting at just INR 99 on curated Gen Z fashion picks.

"The buzz peaked when the campaign’s showstopper – an interactive fashion vending machine came into play. Once the 1,000-scan milestone was reached, the machine dramatically sprang to life, dispensing free merchandise and transforming the campus into a high-energy celebration of style, community, and self-expression," according to the reelase.

This activation took place across five colleges in Mumbai, select campuses in Pune and Delhi, including K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, and SVKM's Mithibai College of Arts, collectively witnessing ~10,000 users and generating 1,000+ QR scans at each college.
