DPAA to open India chapter, details to be announced later this month

In a major development, the Digital Place-Based Advertising Association (DPAA), the trade and marketing association that is leading the digital transformation of OOH, has announced that it will be starting its India chapter soon. Speaking at the webinar organised by e4m titled, "Out of Home in the times of Stay at Home",  Barry Frey, President & CEO,DPAA made this announcement. He said, “Yes we have established a chapter and we have a great local partner in India and we will be announcing the details within next month.” 

It must be mentioned that DPAA fosters collaboration between advertisers, agencies, ad-tech, mobile companies, location data, software, hardware and others while providing guidelines, standards, best practices and industry-wide research all promoting the effectiveness of digital place-based advertising

This is a significant development given the fact that outdoor players are reeling under the impact of the COVID enforced lockdown. In fact, many smaller players are already on the verge of shutting shop and DPPA with its global practices and body of research might help local agencies navigate through these tough times.

“We have been operating all over the world and we have some great members in India. We see this move as a big growth area. Moreover, with DPAAs global practice and research and the way with which we connect with the global community we will see OOH and DOOH connect in a more unified fashion in India,” added Frey.
